Please read the following terms and conditions. These Terms & Conditions constitute a legal agreement between you, the user, and St Catherines (StCaths.com) and (Whittalls.com). By using these websites, you are agreeing to consent to the Terms & Conditions, which shall govern your use of the websites. You should not use these websites if you do not want to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. These Terms & Conditions may be modified at any time without notice, and any such modification shall be effective immediately upon posting of the Terms & Conditions on the websites.

St Catherine's, (stcaths.com) and (whittalls.com), have no links to any government institution of any kind.

General

These Terms & Conditions constitute the entire agreement between you StCaths.com and Whittalls.com with respect to all of StCaths and Whittalls owned websites and supersede all prior or contemporaneous oral, written or electronic communications and proposals between you StCaths and Whittalls regarding their websites.

Pricing Structure.

As of 02/11/2023 We have had to increase our prices. For some 4 years we have carried the additional postage and transaction costs without increase, however we have been forced to increase our charges from the above date as the document and postal cost has increased.

Searches & Refunds.

Searches of the GRO Index and other bodies are nessesary to obtain birth, marriage, or death certificates or family history, and other documents. Searches are based on the information provided by you and we cannot be responsible for any false or inaccurate information supplied. If we are unable to identify the Birth, Marriage or Death certificate or Will, or other document reference based on the information provided, we will retain a £8.99 search fee for the Normal service and £11.99 search fee for the Priority service and refund the balance.

When undertaking searches for Divorce Decree Absolutes, by your request details, it is assumed that the Divorce Decree Absolute exists. In the event that no match has been found within the search years required, no refund will be given, as we have to pay the court charges for the searches and documents before issue.

Cancellation.

StCaths and Whittalls does not offer cancellation rights the orders are directly processed into the relevant systems, and therefore cannot be changed

Our process.

All certificates supplied are original or certified copies created by the official registers and departments specified and will be acceptable to all agencies. Except where image copies are ordered.

When requesting services from our site you agree to comply with the on-line ordering procedure as promoted on our site.

By accessing the content of our website you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set out herein and you accept our privacy policy. If you object to any of the terms and conditions set out in this agreement you should not purchase any of the products or services on the Website. We do not amend or alter the information given to us by you so please ensure that you complete the forms accurately.

If we make a mistake.

In the unlikely event that we make a mistake, we will send you a corrected document as soon as you notify us of our mistake, you must do that within 7 days of receipt.

What we will do with your information.

We will use the information that you supply to us, to obtain a replacement documents and dispatch same to the address given.

What we will not do with your information.

StCaths.com and Whittalls.com will always protect the information you give us, and never use your personal information for marketing purposes or give or disclose your information to anyone.

Despatch.

Please note that we will only process your certificate once your payment has been made, we attempt to process all orders within 28 working days.

Our normal despatch is via 2nd class post by Royal Mail we cannot be held responsible for any non receipt or damaged certificates.

Despatch times quoted are given in good faith your documents would normally be expected to arrive well within the 28 working days of the ordered date. However please allow up to 28 days before contacting us.

In respect of our Priority Service we aim to dispatch within 5 working days from receipt of your order.

Complaints & Correspondence.

Complaints can be made via the Contact Area of the website. Your Statutory rights are not affected by any of these terms and conditions. However we reserve the right not to accept or fulfill your orders at any time without giving a reason.

Force Majeure.

We shall not be liable to you for any breach of the terms and conditions or any failure to provide or delay in providing our services through our site resulting from any event or circumstance beyond our reasonable control including breakdown of systems or network access, or loss/damage and delay of postal deliveries by Royal Mail.

We are not obliged to accept any request or to continue to perform any service. We reserve the right to reject any request or to discontinue the performance of our service without liability.

We reserve the right at any time without notice to revise the content of our website (including the services offered by us) and these terms and conditions. The current version of our terms and conditions will be posted on our site and by continuing to use our site you will signify that you agree to be bound by those terms and conditions as amended from time to time.
